Planning volume and approvals
In the week of 13–19 July, now fully reported, 1,551 applications were received across the London boroughs we cover, with 30 of the 33 boroughs active. Of the 1,215 applications decided that week, 1,014 were approved, giving an approval rate of 86.2%. Westminster led filing volumes with 169 applications, followed by Camden (114), Enfield (96), Barnet (85) and Greenwich (82).
Scheme of the week: Sutton Park Road
A four-storey extension with nine self-contained residential units was approved in Sutton on Park Road SM1 2AE (reference DM2025/00618). The scheme combines conversion of an existing Class E building with new accommodation in roof space, adding residential density to the borough's town centre area.
What we shipped
We improved how Astor surfaces building information on the watch page, so you now see material detail about the building itself alongside application history. We also locked stable identifiers for funder consents, allowing a lender verdict to persist and bind correctly against planning rules across updates. We calibrated the HMO capacity model against two councils' own HMO registers to strengthen the accuracy of supply estimates in Site Finder.
Archive depth
We added 664,433 historic planning records to our archive during the week just gone, expanding the searchable depth of case history in our covered boroughs.
